A section of Stadium Drive at the University of Toledo is scheduled to close Friday morning, Oct. 16, 2026, for paving associated with construction of a new steam tunnel, according to a university notice.
The affected section runs from South Glass Bowl Drive to the north entrance of Area 10. The road is scheduled to reopen Wednesday morning, Oct. 21. The closure changes how drivers can reach two nearby parking areas during the work.
Area 10 will remain accessible through its north entrance. Drivers will not be able to reach Area 5 from that intersection and should instead use its entrance from Douglas Road, the university said.
Contractors will pave Stadium Drive while work on the steam tunnel approaches completion. The university expects the overall construction project to finish by mid-November.
Questions about the work can be directed to Dan Perry, the university’s director of facilities operations, at 419-530-1428.
